About the role
We are looking for a motivated tech-savvy student to help develop the reporting and dashboard infrastructure within Dynamics 365 and Power BI.
This is an ideal opportunity for those interested in gaining hands-on experience in business intelligence, data visualization, and enterprise systems integration. You will be supporting the development of insightful, actionable reports and dashboards that help stakeholders make data-driven decisions.
This role reports to the Registration Manager and will be responsible for a range of tasks including but not limited to those listed below.
What you will be doing
- Assisting in the development and customization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions and reports using Power Platform tools.
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Data Pipelines, Warehouses, and Power BI.
- Developing and optimizing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models connected to Dynamics 365 and other data sources.
- Customizing existing Dynamics 365 visualizations and reports to meet user and business requirements.
- Building and maintaining data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources using Microsoft Fabric.
- Supporting data transformation, integration of workflows, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Assisting in the creation of user documentation and training materials for Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Performing other tasks and project support as assigned by the Registration Manager.
What you will need
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program for Data Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field(s).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and Power BI Service.
- Experience in SQL, data modeling and designing efficient and scalable data structures.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar CRM/ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with Power BI APIs or Dynamics 365 integrations.
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Python for scripting, data manipulation, and Fabric notebooks.
- Basic HTML/CSS – for UI enhancements within Dynamics 365.
- Familiarity with JSON and REST APIs is a plus.
Compensation
The compensation for this position is $17.20/hour.
