We’re sharing an important update about leadership at the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). As previously announced, Registrar & CEO Elinor Larney will be retiring after many years of dedicated service and outstanding leadership. We’re grateful for her many contributions that have helped shape COTO and professional regulation.
While searching for a permanent successor, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Kim Woodland as Interim Registrar & CEO, starting July 12, 2025. Kim is an occupational therapist who currently serves as COTO’s Director of Programs, leading the delivery of the College’s core functions, including registration, quality assurance, patient relations, and practice in the public interest.
She brings strong leadership experience in both private and public sector organizations. As an Executive Director, Director and Chief Executive Officer, Kim has led multi-disciplinary teams of regulated health professionals and health organizations to provide services for people of all ages and stages of living. Kim will help ensure stability and continuity during this transition at COTO.
The Board of Directors is leading an executive search process and will provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your continued trust and support.
If you have any questions, please contact Kim at kwoodland@coto.org.
