The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario will be closed from the afternoon of December 24, 2025 to January 1, 2026. The office will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on January 2, 2026. If you are an active applicant, please review the important information below to help avoid delays in your registration.
Key reminders
- Applications will not be processed and phone or email messages will not be checked during the office closure.
- If you plan to begin working as an occupational therapist in Ontario on or before January 2, 2026, please submit all outstanding documents by end of day December 15, 2025. Processing of documents received after December 15, 2025 may be delayed because of the holiday closure.
- To see what is outstanding for your application, log in to your account and review your application checklist to see what is outstanding to complete your application.
- Once all documents have been received and approved, you will receive an email from the College with a link to pay the registration fee needed to complete your registration.
- Once the registration fee is paid, you will be issued a registration number. You must be issued a registration number from the College before starting work as an occupational therapist in Ontario. ‘Working’ includes orientation, job shadowing and training at the workplace.
