Closing Jan. 8/19: Consultation on the Revised Standards for Infection Prevention and Control

The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) would like to hear your feedback on proposed changes to our Standards for Infection Prevention and Control.

The Standards for Infection Prevention and Control outline the expectations for safe and competent practice from occupational therapists (OTs) regarding the infection prevention and control measures used in their practice.

What to expect in the revised Standards for Infection Prevention and Control:

  • Updated language and terminology;
  • Merging of performance indicators to reduce redundancy;
  • Introduction of a new standard – Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing equipment used in occupational therapy practice;
  • Updated Resource list.

This consultation is an opportunity for OTs, the public and other interested stakeholders to provide feedback on the proposed changes.

Online survey

The consultation closes at 4pm on Jan 8, 2019.
