On August 13, 2019, the Ontario government announced that it will be strengthening oversight of behavioural clinicians who provide Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA).
The College has been invited to provide input to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services on their consultation regarding behavioural clinician’s practice in Ontario and the development of an oversight framework.
The questions seek to gain a clear understanding of the current behavioural services environment in Ontario. The analysis of behaviour is fundamental to the service that many occupational therapists provide to their clients.Your input will inform the College response to the consultation.
