Opportunity to Work with ACOTRO as a Competency Assessor

The Association of Canadian Occupational Therapy Regulatory Organizations (ACOTRO) is the national organization of occupational therapy regulators in Canada. They are seeking an occupational therapist to join their Competency Assessor team.

All internationally educated occupational therapists (IEOTs) who wish to work as occupational therapists in Canada must first complete the Substantial Equivalency Assessment System (SEAS) program. ACOTRO administers the SEAS program.

ACOTRO Competency Assessors conduct interview-style competency assessments with IEOTs and prepare necessary competency reports.

Assessments comprise an estimated 6.5-hour one-on-one interview, along with some preparatory activities and post-assessment reporting. Currently the assessments are being conducted remotely. Assessors typically complete 1–4 assessments per month.

The successful candidate will be provided with in-depth training. The assessors are also supported by the SEAS program staff, a variety of resources and competency assessment development.

Check the ACOTRO website for further details about the opportunity.

For questions or to apply with cover letter and resume please contact: Susan Domanski, SEAS Manager [email protected]

Deadline to apply is October 15, 2022.
