College Performance Measurement Framework
The Ministry of Health shared an overview of the performance measurement framework is proposed to be applied to all Colleges. The Framework aims to enhance public confidence in the regulatory system through transparency and accountability.
Standards for Acupuncture
Council approved the draft Standards for Acupuncture for public and stakeholder consultation, which will begin later this year. The
current Standards for Acupuncture remain in effect and are available online under Standards & Resources.
Governance Review
The College has embarked on a governance review as modernizing the College’s governance structure will ensure its focus remains on the College’s mandate of public protection. The College’s Governance Working Group’s recommendations for governance reform that require legislative and non-legislative changes were reviewed by Council and approved in principle. The Working Group will bring forward detailed plans for Council review in March.
Strategic Planning
Recommendations of the Strategic Planning Working Group were reviewed and approved by Council. The 2020-2023 strategic plan will launch June 1, 2020. Further information will be shared as the launch date approaches.
