Call for New Practice Subcommittee Members

The College is seeking two occupational therapists to join the Practice Subcommittee.

About the Practice Subcommittee:

  • Key roles involve helping to update, revise, and develop practice documents for occupational therapists.
  • Explores and provides recommendations on current occupational therapy practice issues.
  • Additionally, there are other opportunities to provide feedback on Practice Program Initiatives.

The Subcommittee is currently seeking two occupational therapists who have worked in one of the following practice settings for the last 5 years: 

  • Community care and support services (home care),
  • Adult mental health, and
  • Acute care (hospital).

Commitments and Compensation

  • All appointments are for a three-year period commencing in January 2024.
  • Meetings are generally held during business hours, virtually or in-person.
  • Number of meetings per year: 4-5
  • Preparation time per meeting: 2-4 hours
  • Professional appointees are paid a pro-rated per diem of $250 based on a full-day meetings and some preparation time.
