Ontario Extending Stay-at-Home Order

On February 8, 2021, the Ontario Government extended the January 12, 2021 shutdown, including the stay at home orders.

There is no change to Directive 2 at this time. No further restrictions on occupational therapy practice have been announced to date. Occupational therapists and other regulated health professionals may continue to operate, consistent with current guidelines for regulated health professionals. See the College's Return to Work Guidance for OTs.

For Toronto, Peel and York regions, orders will continue to apply until Monday, February 22, 2021 while in 28 other public health regions the orders will apply until February 16, 2021.

Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, Kingston, Frontenac-Lennox-Addington Public Health and Renfrew County and District Health Unit will move back to the Provincial COVID-19 Response Framework at the Green-Prevent level on February 10, 2021.

When it is safe, the province will gradually transition each region from the shutdown measures to the levels within the framework. Final decisions will be subject to review of the trends in public health indicators at that time.
