Welcome the College's New Program Director: Kim Woodland

The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario is pleased to announce and welcome Kim Woodland as Program Director. 

Kim will be responsible for leading the delivery of the College's core functions including: registration, quality assurance, patient relations, and practice in the public interest.

Kim is an occupational therapist with experience in clinical practice, formerly treating clients in psychogeriatrics and adults in the Home and Community Care sector. She operated her own rehabilitation business in partnership with colleagues for 10 years, providing rehabilitation services at home and in the community.  

Kim has provided leadership in both private and public sector organizations for the last 20 years. As an Executive Director, Director and Chief Executive Officer, Kim has led multi-disciplinary teams of regulated health professionals and health organizations to provide services for people of all ages and stages of living.
 
As a volunteer, Kim has worked with: the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists as a member of the School-Based OT Team; the College as a subject matter expert on non-clinical practice; and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists with regards to National Occupational Therapy Certification Examination improvements.
 
Kim has been an integral partner in co-creating both regional and provincial committees and task forces such as: the North Simcoe Muskoka Palliative End of Life Care Network; the Central Ontario Health Hospice Collaborative; the Ontario Home Care Therapists Association; and worked with other industry leaders to envision and implement leading practices and service model innovations such as the Children’s Treatment Network Simcoe York. She is a champion and student of team leadership and integrated care models.
 
Kim has a background in organizational change and person-centred leadership within not-for-profit boards, government and Patient Advisory Committees. She is looking forward to working with the College and the Board to achieve the College's public protection mandate and vision of providing regulatory excellence.
