Effective November 1, 2017, occupational therapists (OTs) are required to self-report information about charges laid against them. This new self-reporting requirement was approved by Council in June 2017 to support the College’s commitment to transparency and to align with anticipated changes to the
Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991.

Effective November 1, 2017, the College also publishes information about certain charges laid against occupational therapists, if the charges were laid on or after November 1. Information is published on the public register at
Find an Occupational Therapist.
The College policy outlining the criteria considered by the Registrar when determining if information about charges will be published on Find an Occupational Therapist is
available online.
Occupational therapists can self-report information online by
logging in to the College website and selecting Self Report. OTs are not required to report “ticketable” offences, such as speeding infractions, parking infractions, failing to stop at a red light, or consuming alcohol in a public place.
