These Guidelines review expected practice and provide strategies for OTs working in practice settings where the resources available for OT service are beyond the control of the OT.
The new Guidelines describe:
- Various models of care that may be used in occupational therapy service delivery.
- An application of the Conscious Decision-Making framework to assist OTs in problem solving through challenging situations.
- Strategies to assist OTs when delivering occupational therapy services in a managed care environment including managing their caseloads, record keeping, and working collaboratively with interprofessional colleagues.
