Coming Soon: Pilot of New QA Screening Tool

The College’s Quality Assurance (QA) Programcontinues to evolve as we strive to enhance the program. One important part of the QA Program is Competency Assessment, where registrants get meaningful feedback and tools to help them make any needed practice improvements. The College’s new Competency Assessment process has 3 steps: Step 1: Risk Based Selection. This was launched during the 2020-2021 registration year. Step 2: Screening of Selected Registrants. COVID-19 Update: Directive #6 in effect September 7, 2021

On August 17, 2021, Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health issued anew directive(Directive #6)requiring hospitals, home and community care service providers, and ambulance services to have a vaccination policy, with an implementation date of September 7, 2021. Employers in these settings will be required to develop, implement, monitor, and maintain vaccination policies to ensure all employees, contractors, students, and volunteers are vaccinated or tested regularly.
